As one of the Founders of Rise Up Homecare, Chase is on a life-long mission to Serve God and Serve Others. After his dad required emergency heart surgery in 2015, Chase saw the impact in-home care had on his dad's recovery. It was a profound experience and improving the quality of life for those in need quickly became his life's purpose. With more than a decade of experience in healthcare, Chase has a deep-rooted passion for meeting people where they are, getting to know them and understanding their circumstances. With this personal insight, he can work to provide them with peace of mind, comfort, and hope at a time when they need it the most. Chase works closely with healthcare facilities, administrators, senior living communities, and our caregiving team to ensure patients and residents get the quality care they deserve, allowing them to live their very best lives during their golden years.

Victoria has been a nurse for over 10 years and knew it was her calling. She started as an LPN working at a pediatrics office for low-income families, where she learned high quality customer service providing care to children. From there she worked her way up to Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree. Her main focus was geriatrics working at Venice Regional Hospital in the Medical Surgical unit. There she excelled in bed side care, triage, critical thinking skills, and leadership as the charge nurse for the unit. In that position, not only did she learn the physical attributes to nursing, but the emotional support and strength to become a caregiver to those sick and needing care. Now caring for individuals requiring assistance in their home setting has become her new calling here with Rise Up Homecare. Her leadership skills as the administrator are used to assess the patients’ needs and wants in order to feel safe and secure in their recovery journey. While always willing to be there for comfort and understanding, she is a great asset to the team and proud to be our head nurse in our homecare family.

Mose serves as our Director of Personnel, but he joined us back in 2022 as a Caregiver doing overnight shifts. Like so many of the job applicants he interviews these days, his interest in caregiving began as a child helping tend to his disabled grandmother. It was further fueled as an adult by spending two days a week working on PT with a quadriplegic friend. His healthcare work followed a long career as a writer and producer traveling the world to make documentary films. Today, Mose is the first person to meet prospective caregivers seeking work with us. He describes his job as an opportunity to spend time with good-hearted, honest people. “No one goes into caregiving to make a lot of money,” he says, “they do it out of a natural drive to help people. With the best applicants, the ones I hire for Rise Up Homecare, you can see the kindness in their eyes and hear it in their voice.”

The Office Manager of a caregiving agency must have broad knowledge across many disciplines -- the medical field, government oversight agencies, legal issues, contractual obligations, and many other categories including property management of our offices. Initially, we hired Mamie Potts as a dedicated caregiver; within a couple weeks, we realized that she was the perfect office manager. Perhaps her gifts begin with a natural practicality stemming from her New England upbringing (she moved here 16 years ago from Cape Cod). Then there’s the more than 36 years she spent in the medical field as a medical assistant and caregiver. And, among other ideal experiences, there was her job in a real estate office. Today, she not only runs our offices but cheerfully races out to care for a client whenever needed. Her personality is that of a person who cherishes family, friends, and neighbors ... and being outdoors, and having new adventures. Fortunately for us, Rise Up Homecare has become her favorite ongoing adventure.

Amy has been in Healthcare for more than twenty years, first as a full-time Caregiver, and now the principal anchor of our day-to-day caregiving operation. In her role as Care Coordinator and Client Relations Manager for Rise Up, she spends time carefully assessing the condition and the needs of each new client. At the same time, as the Scheduler responsible for filling every shift every day, she schools herself on the personal preferences and individual skills of everyone on our caregiving roster. As her colleagues in the office describe it, Amy has unique interpersonal skills and intuitive insights that enable her to combine caregiver and client in a perfect fit – the skills of the caregiver matching the needs of the client, and their personalities mixing comfortably and happily. How does Amy herself explain this special knack? “I just love people,” she says.

Angie was born and raised in the Sarasota–Bradenton area. Shortly after graduating from high school, she pursued formal training at Manatee Technical College, earning her PCT/CNA certification in 2013. She began her career at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where she gained extensive hands-on experience as a CNA and Multi-skilled Technician. Angie later transitioned into home health care, a field she quickly grew passionate about and continues to find deeply rewarding. With years of experience and a strong commitment to excellence, Angie advanced into leadership roles, serving as Scheduler and Office Manager. She is known for her dedication, reliability, and loyalty, and takes great pride in supporting both clients and caregivers. Above all, Angie truly loves the work she does and the difference it makes in people’s lives.
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring; all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
